My little artist?

One of my children is quite the artist. She draws EVERYTHING, and on EVERYTHING, and with EVERYTHING. Ever had one of those?

But really she is quite good, her pictures of people are spot on in their likeness. My husband who is not so interested in art, or the artistic talents of our children has finally taken notice of Avery's abilities. Especially when she presented me with the card in the first photo, my Mother's Day card. Then later in the day, she proudly showed me what she was scribbling on the magna doodle.

"What are you teaching our children?" My husband asked.

"What do you mean?" I replied.

"I am a little worried about Avery's drawings." He said.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I replied giggling, "Why do you have to be so immature, just ask her she will tell you what they are."

"Avery honey, those are really nice pictures, what are they of?" Paul asked.

Clearly upset that her Dad could not see what she had drawn, she S-L-O-W-L-Y so he could understand, explained what they were....

A pair of scissors, and a worm crawling out of an apple.

Duh! What were you thinking?

hehehehehehe.......was it hard to keep a straight face when she showed you? Me thinks Daddy needs to have a open mind when he is viewing his children's art work ;0)

I seriously burst out laughing before I even read what you'd written. It is the pride and sheer innocence on her face. I see your family's artistic talent runs through Avery's veins. So CUTE!! Thanks for making my night!!
